The fact that local rock station KSHE 95 is turning 50 this year, making it the longest running rock station in the world, is nothing to sneeze at. As such, the station is throwing a party to commemorate the event. KSHE’s 50th Anniversary Pig Roast will feature REO Speedwagon and Styx as co-headliners with guests Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles, Michael Stanley and the Resonators and Joe Dirt and the Dirty Boy Al Stars. The show will held at the Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre in Saint Louis.

REO Speedwagon, who hail from Champaign, Illinois credit KSHE 95 with helping them get their start. Styx has long been a favorite of KSHE listeners as well.

With hits like “Too Much Time on My Hands”, “Ridin’ the Storm Out”, “Take it on the Run”, “Can’t Fight This Feeling”, “Foolin’ Yourself (The Angry Young Man)”, “Come Sail Away”, “The Best of Times” and many more it is easy to see why this would be a fun night to celebrate the longest running rock station in the country.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, March 3 at Noon at livenation.com, the Gold’s Gym Box office at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre with NO service fees the first week of sales or by calling 800-745-3000.  And as an added bonus fans can get four lawn or select reserve tickets for $64 plus fees the first week of sales.
