The annual music festival that is Pointfest returns again to the Gateway City at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre where it has become an established summer ritual. Now in it’s 24th year and 35th edition, respectively, the annual event sponsored by local radio station mainstay
105.7 the Point brings some of the biggest names in rock, metal and alternative for an all day festival for a very reasonable price.
For the first time since 2012 Pointfest is covering two days, though unlike that year where the shows spanned a single weekend this years iteration will be spread out over two consecutive weekends.
For the Saturday, May 13 date the announced acts will be headlined by Korn and Breaking Benjamin with Alter Bridge, Thrice, Sick Puppies, You Me at Six and Holy White Hounds.
The Saturday, May 20Â Pointfest date has headliner Soundgarden with Stone Sour, Pierce the Veil, local boys Greek Fire, J. Roddy Walston and the Business, Biffy Clyro and Dillinger Escape Plan.
Both dates will have more acts to be announced later at 1057thepoint.com/Pointfest.
Tickets for both nights go on sale this Friday, March 3 at 10:00 AM at Livenation.com, the Gold’s Gym Box Office at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre or by calling 800-745-3000. NO service fees the first week of sales.
