Prog rock…no. Classic rock…no. Rock icons Rush have finally announced a date on their “Fifty Something” tour for St. Louis; October 21 at Enterprise Center.
Rush are in the midst of a massively successful world tour that, so far, lasts until April of next year. The band initially announced a run of 23 dates and local fans were, understandably, upset that a local show was not announced. Ah, but the patient ones will reap the benefits as the local show was announced this morning.
The band’s lineup, featuring Geddy Lee on Bass/vocals, Alex Lifeson on guitar, and Anika Nilles on drums, has excited fans anxious to see their heroes.
Geddy Lee & Alex Lifeson of Rush share about the significance of these newly added dates, “When we initially booked this tour we didn’t know how well we would hold up to the rigours of the road – so we played it safe with lots of days off to recover – but life is nothing if not surprising and we’re doing fine and having a blast – so why not try to hit a few more of the cities that have always treated us so well.”
