If there was one thing almost everyone could agree on before the music even started, it was that the heat and humidity were brutal. It was one of those sticky St. Louis summer nights where simply sitting outside felt exhausting. But once the lights went down and the music started, the weather quickly became an afterthought.

Opening the evening was Night Ranger, who had the crowd singing along with hits like “Sister Christian”, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, and “(You Can Still) Rock in America”. Their set was the perfect way to kick off the night.

Once El Monstero took the stage, they delivered exactly what fans have come to expect. The Pink Floyd classics were performed with precision while still bringing an energy that keeps longtime fans coming back year after year. The vocals were strong, the musicianship was exceptional, and every member of the band had moments to shine throughout the evening.

The production was incredible. Between the lights, lasers, smoke, and pyrotechnics, there was always something happening on stage. Every song had its own look, making the show just as entertaining to watch as it was to listen to.

Whether you’ve seen El Monstero once or a dozen times, they continue to find ways to make each show feel fresh while honoring the music that inspired generations. Judging by the packed amphitheater and the reaction from the crowd, this annual St. Louis tradition isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
