Tool is returning to St. Louis March 18 as part of their rebooted “Fear Inoculum Tour” that was originally scheduled for 2020, but was canceled mid tour as part of, you guessed it, the Covid-19 pandemic.

They restarted the tour on January 10 and have played a handful of shows without a hitch. They are performing tonight in Phoenix and will zig zag the country, finishing up in Cleveland on March 20, before heading to Europe to tour there in April and May.

The St. Louis show was originally scheduled for June 13 of 2020. Needless to say, fans are anxious to see the band perform live again. The last two shows sold out. Will Covid keep this show from selling out? It is hard to say, but if you want to make sure you see the show you better now wait until the day of the show to see.

Tool had been touring in support of their 2019 album, Fear Inoculum, which marked their first LP in 13 years. While the band was on lockdown drummer Dana Carey and bassist Justion Chancellor have said they are working on new tool material, so hopefully we won’t have to wait another 13 years for new music.

Vocalist Maynard James Keenan contracted Covid twice during the pandemic, and has been dealing with long-term symptoms, including lung damage. But audio from one of their first shows back indicated no issues. In fact, Keenan has stated that his health was great recently, and with recent videos popping up it sure sounds like he is 100%. Reviews of the first wave of shows have been excellent, and there is no reason to expect anything different for the St. Louis show.

The Acid Helps will open the show.
