Rock band Daughtry has just kicked off their Latest tour, crisscrossing the United States until Mid December. They will be smack dab in the middle of the tour when they make a stop at the newest musical venue in St. Louis – The Factory on Tuesday, November 23. Daughtry is touring in support of their just released sixth studio album Dearly Beloved, which is a return to the band’s heavier rock roots. It features the singles “Heavy is the Crown” and “Changes are Coming”. But as part of a bonus track the band teamed up with Sevendust vocalist Lajon Witherspoon to recreate the Temple of the Dog classic “Hunger Strike”.

Since Witherspoon frequents St. Louis (guitarist Clint Lowery lives here and has a home studio as well), it would be incredibly cool to see them perform “Hunger Strike” as part of the encore or something.

If you haven’t heard their homage to the Eddie Vedder/ Cris Cornell classic you should check it out now:

Chris Daughtry and Lajon Witherspoon are two of the most impressive vocal talents in rock music today. Seeing them together should be a treat for any music fan.
