St. Louis has been known for a lot of things, from beer to baseball, hockey to humid summer nights, gooey butter cakes to toasted ravioli. One thing some people tend to take for granted is the rich heritage of St. Louis music. Many great artists have called St. Louis home and the inaugural Music at the Intersection aims to showcase that local talent over three days and six venues.

Centered in the Grand Center Arts District the festival will feature more than 60 national, regional, and local acts performing at The fabulous Fox Theatre, The Sheldon Concert Hall, The Grandel Theatre, Jazz St. Louis, The Big Top, and the Open Air VIP Tent at The Dark Room.

Each night will be headlined by National acts Lalah Hathaway (Sunday, September 12, Gregory Porter (Saturday, September 11), and Roy Ayers (Friday, September 10) at The Fabulous Fox Theatre.

Music at the Intersection is a civic-led effort presented by Kranzberg Arts Foundation and Steward Family Foundation. Originally planned for fall 2020 as part of a larger St. Louis Music Initiative, the festival – like most live music in St. Louis and across the world – was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, after a difficult year for musicians, event staff, technical directors and stagehands, Music at the Intersection – and its partner venues – is bringing the St. Louis music industry back to work.
