Legendary music icon and pioneer Buddy Guy has started his “Damn Right Farewell” Tour and, thankfully, will be making one final stop in St. Louis on March 13 at The Factory before he retires from touring.
The 86-year-old has won numerous awards and accolades including 8 Grammy Awards, 35 Blues Music Awards, Billboard Magazine Century Award, a Kennedy Center Honor, The Presidential National Medal of Arts, and a rightful inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He has influenced many guitarists over the years from Jimmy Page to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and Carlos Santana and is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time. PBS even released a documentary called “Buddy Guy: The Blues Chase The Blues Away”.
