METALLICA ANNOUNCE THE WORLDWIRED 2017 NORTH AMERICAN

TOUR IN SUPPORT OF HARDWIRED…TO SELF-DESTRUCT

–By Sean Derrick

Metal titans Metallica announced today their North American leg of their “WorldWired 2017 Tour” with a string of stadium dates this summer across the United States and Canada.

The tour leg begins May 10 in Baltimore, MD and ends up August 16 in Edmonton, AB. Along the way 25 stadiums and a festival. They will attempt to touch every corner of the country but will only hit two Midwestern stadiums: Busch Stadium in Saint Louis June 4 at 6:00 PM and Soldier Field in Chicago June 18. So, if you live anywhere in the Midwest you better try for these tickets early as they will be the closest you will get to a stadium show this summer for Metallica.

The Saint Louis show, in particular, features a couple of firsts: It will be the first time that Busch Stadium will host two concerts in the same year (with Billy Joel on September 21), as opposed to just once a year as in years past. It will also be Metallica’s first time playing at Busch Stadium. Another interesting feature is that two competing radio stations are sponsoring it: KSHE 95 and 105.7 the POINT.

TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 AT 10:00 AM!

The Saint Louis show will feature Volbeat  while the Chicago show will feature Avenged Sevenfold.

As a special added bonus each ticket purchased will come with a copy of the Hardwired…to Self-Destruct album either as a physical CD or a digital download. For complete details on the bonus visit www.metallica .com.

There will be a special presale beginning Tuesday, February 14 for Citi Cardmembers at 11:00 AM. Additional details can be found at www.citiprivatepass.com.

Every ticket purchased through official outlets includes your choice of a standard physical or standard digital copy of Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. If you have already purchased the album you have an option to gift it to someone else, details on that will be on the redemption page.

There will also be four options of special enhanced experiences for the tour, including premium tickets and amenities, including: meet and greets, early entry into the venue and more. Visit www.cidentertainment.com/events/metallica-tour-2017/ for full package details.

Metallica is encouraging fans to make a donation to one of the local or national charities that they are supporting on this tour.
