After a 10 year absence pop superstar Celine Dion returned to Saint Louis with a stunning performance that dazzled the packed Enterprise Center Saturday night both audibly and visually.

The crowd was primed for a good time prior to the show starting with an impromptu dance off, with the prize being 15 seconds on the big screen behind the stage.

Dion, flanked by an elegant set design that changed several times between songs (as well as her outfits), didn’t do a lot of talking but did reference the reigning Stanley Cup champion Saint Louis Blues, which drove the crowd nuts.

She let her voice, her wonderful voice, capture most of the attention in song, which let’s be honest was the reason the crowd came in the first place.

Her voice was solid, and she didn’t hold back, even as she sang both parts to the duet “The Prayer”, normally sung with Andrea Bocelli.

Dion is touring in support of her latest album Courage, which drops November 15 and is her firs English album in six years, and teased the crowd by singing the title track and showing he still has the vocal chords that made her famous through the years.

She ended the main set with a medley of covers that ranged from David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”, to Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust”, to Prince’s “KISS” and Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade”.

However, the best was yet to come as the encore was worth the price of admission alone.

Anyone paying attention would have noticed a certain song missing from the main setlist and so it was no surprise when the she made her way back on the stage for her encore in a beautiful fluffy white dress to the flute intro to her megahit “My Heart Will Go On” (The Titanic song, for those uninitiated). The performance was truly a show stopper all on its own, and was nearly a show in and of itself.

You could feel the audiences’ collective tears being shed to the piercing sounds of the flute. halfway through the song, what must have been 100 small drones took off from the stage and lit up for a coordinated light show like I have never seen. At one point the drones flew around Dion like fireflies dancing around her. It was truly magnificent and awe-inspiring. This was truly the highlight of the show.

After that amazing performance she tried to top it was a simple and beautiful rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine” as a perfect ending to a perfect show.
